Showcasing Experiential Community as a Growth Engine
Let’s deep dive into our own experiential activation: our Creative Retreat.
We brought our community to life with an intentional, immersive experience via a three-day Creative Retreat in Mexico City. Designed for creator founders and creative entrepreneurs, the retreat combined curated workshops, shared meals, and cultural exploration with deep, human-centered interaction. While the program included structured elements - from a 30/60/90 planning session to sessions optimizing revenue and building business relationships- the real impact came from the relational energy in the room. Members set goals together, exchanged insights and began to hold each other accountable in ways that typical digital forums cannot replicate.
This retreat demonstrated the importance of experiential and community-driven design in building lasting creative ecosystems. Research shows that 84% of attendees at in-person creator events form new friendships and 45% report a strengthened sense of self as a result of shared experiences, highlighting how IRL engagement deepens connection and identity beyond what digital platforms alone can create.
By blurring the lines between digital and physical communities, we did more than host a series if sessions: we invited members to live the values of collaboration, accountability, and collective growth that define Shams Club. This retreat became an extension of our brand’s philosophy, proving that intentional, experiential community can be a powerful catalyst for creative momentum, meaningful relationships, and long-term engagement.

Building with Clarity, Not Burnout
Starting or building a business can take a real toll on entrepreneurs and creators, not just physically but mentally and emotionally as well. This is why we have intentionally designed a new space in Shams Club for our members to pause, reset, and recenter themselves before stepping back into their work with clarity and confidence.
As part of this commitment, Anousha, founder of Joy Culture and a Shams Club member, has created exclusive content for our community focused on mindset practices and tools to support entrepreneurs during moments of overwhelm and burnout.
